Martin M Mathiesen
1987-1989
During president Mathiesen’s tenure, CalRTA celebrated its 60th Anniversary.
During this term CRTA was instrumental in helping to maintain the 68.2 percent supplemental payments to those whose purchasing power had fallen below 75 percent of their original allowance.
A new division, Eastern Sierra, was established in a previously under served area of the state.
Funding for Fall Area Workshops, to foster sharing of information gained at the State-Level Fall Council meetings, was provided in the budget.
President Mathiesen attended every Fall Area Workshop, as well as attending sixty-eight division meetings.
On a lighter note, the CalRTA Cookbook was published, earning funds for the establishment of a potential building fund.
