Cecil W. Tyler
1978-1979

In celebration CALRTA’s fiftieth birthday, President Tyler chose this motto: “Honor the Past, Enjoy the Present, Improve the Future.” It was a gala year for all divisions and CalRTA.

The CalRTA Legislative Office in Sacramento was manned by a team of four. For economy, Council and Convention were shortened by one day. All State committees were evaluated with recommendations made at May Convention. The state budget limited allotment for officers and committees. There was increased exchange and cooperation with NRTA, AARP, and CTA.

CalRTA boasted 64 divisions.
